About the Event:
In celebration of the rich musical heritage of Cortez, the Cortez Cultural Center has partnered with the Florida Maritime Museum to host Music on the Porch on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, from 2 to 4 pm. Children and adults are welcome.
The event takes place at the Florida Maritime Museum, on the front porch of the Bratton Store. However, to beat the oppressive heat of Florida summers, during our hottest months of July -September, the event takes place in the air-conditioned Cortez Cultural Center Museum.
This FREE music event series is a jam session. Come enjoy the music from the shaded picnic tables, or bring an acoustic instrument to play along!
(Keep in mind that since Music on the Porch is a jam session, music is not always guaranteed. Musician participation varies.)
